Japanese Shell House

Located about 60-90 minutes outside of Tokyo, Shell House was designed by the Japanese architecture firm Artechnic. This curvaceous and beautifully crafted home was designed with the intent of minimal maintenance. It is not meant to mirror the nature around it but rather to coexist with it — or so I’m told. I don’t know the price tag of this 3,541 sq ft. cottage, but I know it doesn’t look like a bad place to hang your hat on the weekends.
